 | | We
are Baptists who believe in the fundamentals of the faith. We put our faith and
trust in the God of the Bible. We believe the Bible is His inspired, inerrant
Word. We use the King James translation of the Bible. We believe that Jesus,
God's only begotten Son, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, gave His
life on the cross as our substitute, was buried, rose the third day, ascended to
Heaven, is seated at the right hand of God the Father interceding for us,
preparing a place for us, while the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, encourages us,
teaches us, guides us, and convinces us of sin in our lives, fulfilling God's
purpose to conform us to the image of His Son, preparing us for Kingdom living
in these last days, while we wait for the fulfillment of Jesus' promise that He
would come soon and take us up to be with Him, and so shall we ever be with the
Lord. We believe the only way a person can have the peace and happiness of
knowing these truths is through a salvation experience. Salvation is the result
of God foreknowing, predestinating, calling, justifying and glorifying those
whom He saves (Romans 8:29-30). For by grace we are saved. It is the the gift of God, not of works, to all those who put their faith in Jesus and Him alone. Romans 10:9-10 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." The result of this great salvation is Christ in us the hope of glory, humbling us with a repentant heart, empowering us with a desire to please God, and to demonstrate the fruits of the Spirit in every area of our lives. We believe God holds us accountable to be a witness to these truths. "To him, the Lord Jesus Christ, be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen" (Revelation 1:6).
