FFM Online Newsletter - January, 2008

Happy 2008! Our family's goal this year is expressed in Philippians 3:10, "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death."

It is our desire this year to have a deeper relationship with the Lord than ever before, so that we would shine with His light and glory. Please pray that we would be pleasing to Him.

The Lord blessed us with a wonderful month as we began our new year in Cocoa, FL at the Jubilee at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Jay Frazier. We were refreshed physically and ready to serve Him, and yet, we were asking the Lord for a special touch that week to begin our new year of service to Him. He answered our prayers in a mighty way! Through the preaching of Evangelist Dana Williams, the Lord renewed our spirits and revived our hearts. His message on Hosea and Gomer brought alive the great love that our Heavenly Father has for us! Even when we are unfaithful to Him, as Gomer was to Hosea, He still loves and forgives us and takes us back into His loving arms with mercy and grace! How could we ever be discouraged or not feel loved?! The services there in Cocoa were a blessing to all of us! To top it all off, we were given tickets to the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Kennedy, FL., and enjoyed two afternoons seeing the sights and braving the Shuttle Launch Experience, a simulated shuttle launch ride. We left Cocoa, FL and enjoyed a night at the prophet's chambers at Buford Grove Baptist Church which feels like our home away from home. The next day we went on to Newnan, GA where we enjoyed our time at Westside Baptist Church with Pastor Melvin Payne. What a blessing Bro. Melvin and Miss Mildred are to us! We enjoyed our fellowship time with them immensely. What an example they are to us of faithful service to the Lord!! We then enjoyed a few days at HOME! It's always nice to get here once in a while and spend time with David! We left that weekend for a Family Revival in Fulton, KY with Pastor Randy McClure. God had so prepared the hearts of the people there that He was able to send great revival that week! What a joy it was to see Him working in hearts and lives. One young father came back to the Lord and made a commitment to the Lord to lead his family in prayer and Bible study and in following God's ways. His sweet wife was there with their 4 year old son and their 2 day old baby girl! Many hearts were touched as Rick preached a series on prayer based on the Lord's Prayer. God did a lasting work there in Fulton and we pray that it will have far reaching results. We were privileged to sing and minister at two nursing homes during the week. How we have missed that part of our family ministry these past two years!! Pastor Randy McClure and his dear wife, Kathy were such a blessing to us throughout the week, and we praise the Lord for their sweet ministry there, and for their obvious love for their people. Maryville, GA was our next stop as we headed for Ridgeview Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Sexton. We made it on Saturday night in time for their Missions Conference and were so blessed by the preaching of our friend, Stinnet Ballew! That Sunday morning was their Faith Promise Sunday, and the Lord truly blessed! That Sunday night, Rick preached on "God's Portrait of a Model Family" and many responded at the invitation. Praise the Lord!! We finished out the month at home, enjoying time with David, working on some household projects, and enjoying a revival at our home church with Evangelist Tom Farrell and his family. We are constantly blessed at what the Lord is doing and continues to do in our hearts! Please pray for us as we set out in February for a extended period of continuous ministry! We'll not be home until April 28th for more than one night passing through! What a joy it is to serve our Living Lord!
