"Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul." Psalm 66:16
We are constantly amazed at what the Lord has done! He has shown Himself strong and mighty in so many ways. We began the month with a much needed night of relaxation at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, TN after our home education conference! We left there and headed for Pigeon Forge, TN where we enjoyed a day of worship at Freedom Baptist Church with Pastor Ed Parton and his sweet congregation. They are always such a blessing to us at their November camp meeting! We then journeyed to Albany, KY where we took part in their week long Missions Revival. Rick preached several nights, as well as Joel Logan and John O'Brien. God worked in all of our hearts that week, especially in Joshua's heart! He feels that God is calling him to be a missionary in Romania! Please pray that God will continue to guide his steps.
After our week in KY, we
drove to Knoxville, TN and enjoyed a morning of worship at N. Knoxville Baptist
Church where we have ministered for the last 7 years! Pastor Guy Milam has such
a sweet spirit and a heart for his church. We then drove to Harriman, TN for the
evening service at Harriman Baptist Tabernacle with Pastor James Jones. We met
Brother James
in Linares, Mexico, and he blessed our hearts so!
The next day we began a Camp Meeting at Calvary Baptist Church in Newnan, GA with Pastor Bryan Calhoun. There we heard the godly preaching of Tom Gilliam, Doug Bearden, Ken Bowman, and others. On Wednesday night of that week, we drove to Bowden, GA to worship with Ken Bowman and his sweet church, Liberty Baptist. We THOUGHT we were going to sing and preach that night. After we sang, Pastor Ken spoke briefly from Phillipians 4 on how God supplies our needs. He then told the people, "Church, let's be a blessing!" To our surprise, they all got up and walked out! Brother Ken told us to stay seated. When they were all out, he escorted us outside where the whole church was lined up down the sidewalk and around a beautiful, red 2006 Ford van, complete with balloons!! We were speechless!! God is an amazing God! Our old van, lovingly dubbed "Old Faithful" has 266,000 miles! God always knows just what we need!! We all filed back inside and enjoyed a wonderful testimony service. These people know the JOY of giving!! May the Lord bless them!!
We went home for a night to
drop off one of the vans, and then left for Mt. Vernon, IL for a week of revival
at Ham's Grove Baptist Church. This is our second year with this sweet church,
and the Lord always blesses us through them! We enjoyed the fellowship of
several families in the church, as well as a day of swimming, horseback riding,
and fun! Imagine the chaos and confusion of a trail ride with 17 horses and riders
and 7 colts romping after their mothers!! It was an experience!! God used
the preaching of His Word that week as Rick preached a series on the Lord's
Prayer. Our hearts were touched, and we hope that others were as well. The last
night of the revival the church presented us with a new trailer to pull behind
our new van!! God continually amazes us at His wonderful provision and the
special folks He uses to do it!
THANK YOU, Ham's Grove Baptist Church!!
We enjoyed the roomy drive from IL to Albany, KY the next day! There we rested in the comfy prophets chambers at Albany Independent Baptist Church overnight before heading to Taylorsville, NC. We began our week in Taylorsville on Sunday with Pastor Steve Daggenhart and the precious Calvary Baptist Church. God really moved in the morning service! That evening we ministered at Stony Point Tabernacle with Pastor Wes Hammer. They are in the middle of renovating their sanctuary, so we worshipped in the fellowship hall and had a wonderful time! The next week we watched the Lord at work at the Taylorsville Camp Meeting. This is a long established camp meeting in a huge, open air tabernacle. The Lord is so faithful to work in hearts and lives there! We praise His name for the opportunity to worship and minister there with the Daggenhart family. They are so special!!
We headed home for two nights before we took off for Ooltewah, TN. But that begins another busy month!! How could we ever thank the Lord enough for all that He is doing in our hearts and lives, as well as those to whom we minister?! He never leaves us alone, but faithfully works to soften and prepare our hearts for His Word. Satan is on the attack, especially on families during these end times, but God is faithful and will show His mighty power if we will but trust Him and dedicate our lives to His service! Would you join us as we follow Him?
