FFM Online Newsletter - March, 2008

The month of March began on a much happier note as everyone recovered from the flu and we hit the road again! We began the month in Cleveland, TX where we enjoyed some warm weather, and the warm fellowship at Victory Independent Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Goodman. They are such a sweet group of believers who are meeting in a rented home and are excited to see God providing for the building of their new sanctuary! The Lord blessed there! Our next stop was Dallas, TX where we stayed at the IBLP Dallas Training Center, one of the oldest hotels in Dallas. There, we enjoyed the friendship and fellowship of our good friend, Mark Cordray. We had an unexpected blessing when we got to sit in on a teaching session with Gary Fraley. He has always been such a blessing to us! We then headed for Killeen, TX where we stayed with our friends the Trivetts, overnight while ministering at their church, First Baptist, Trimmier, TX.  Linden, TX was our next stop after driving all day long just ahead of an ice storm! The next morning we awoke to the most beautiful SNOW we've seen in years!! This was a real exciting event for these southern folks who only dream of snow! It was definitely going to be a snow day for school! We bundled up and played out in the snow all morning long, making a huge 7 foot Texas snowman, complete with cowboy hat! By dinner time, it had all melted away, and we had to enjoy our pictures and memories! We enjoyed worshipping at Bear Creek Baptist Church that Sunday morning with Pastor Hershal Williams and Miss Marie. They are such sweet saints of God! That afternoon, we set out for an unexpected visit home to help David clean up the kitchen and dining room after pipes had burst the day before. We arrived home at 1:30 am to the sad sight of wet carpet, but repaired pipes! The next day we had to get moving in order to make it to Myrtle, MS in time for Camp Zion to begin! It was a special week, as usual, as we enjoyed the preaching by Tom Gilliam, Larry Winkler, and Mike Bagwell. The next day we drove home to celebrate David's 22nd birthday (a few days early). We miss him so much and love any chance we have to stop by home to see him! The next day we drove to Indianapolis, IN to begin a revival at Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor James Wood. The Lord blessed that week! This is the heart of our ministry...local church revivals! We are always so thankful for the opportunity to lead in these, and see the most results after being at a church for a week and learning to love the people so much! We left IN for Valdese, NC for a night of R & R at the prophet's chambers of Trinity Baptist Church. THANK YOU, Pastor Scott Moneyham!! On Friday we began a weekend revival at Valley Drive Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Rakes. We again fell in love with the people there, and thank God for the 30 year ministry of Pastor and Mrs. Rakes at this precious church! The meeting ended on Easter Sunday where we celebrated the resurrection of our LIVING Lord! What a day of worship!! That evening, we ministered at Temple Baptist Church in Martinsville, VA with Pastor Don Reynolds. This sweet church allowed us to stay in their beautiful prophet's chambers all weekend! The next day we drove to Candor, NC and enjoyed the fellowship of Pastor Mark Moore and his dear wife, Vera. They had us for a one night meeting that Friday night at their church, Center Baptist. The last Saturday of the month, we drove to Albany, KY to begin a Celebration Meeting at Clear Fork Baptist Church. We stayed in the prophet's chambers at Albany Independent Baptist Church, where we enjoyed the opportunity to bake a birthday cookie for Joseph's 14th birthday! The next morning, we worshipped with Albany Independent Baptist Church and Pastor Melvin Daniel. The meeting at Clear Fork was a blessing to our family!! Though we were weary physically from 25 nights of continuous meetings, the Lord used the messages there to revive our spirits. We had to opportunity to preach and sing on their live radio program two mornings of the week, and thank God for Pastor Bob Sawyer and his sweet ministry there! That meeting ended in April, and now we are beginning 8 weeks of revivals and camp meetings back to back. Please pray for physical rest and refreshment, as well as spiritual renewal as we serve the Lord as a family! It is such a joy to serve Him together!
