FFM Online Newsletter - November, 2007
As we look back on the month of November, our hearts are filled with thanksgiving and praise to our mighty God! It has been such a busy month! He has allowed us to minister in ten different churches throughout the month of November and we have seen Him work in such amazing ways! We began the month at Trinity Baptist Church in Valdese, NC with Pastor Scott Moneyham. What a blessing it was to be able to spend time with Scott and Sharon and their family. Their church was a real blessing. From there we drove to Newnan, GA for the annual Camp Meeting at Westside Baptist Church. Pastor Melvin Payne is such a blessing to us! We were privileged that week to record for the church's television program as well as sing during the services. That Friday we drove to Meadows of Dan, VA where Nancy spoke to 85 ladies at their annual pastor's wives meeting on Saturday, and Rick preached and we sang at their Sunday services. We love their pastor and his wife, Mike and Kelly Sutphin, and thank God for the opportunity to get to know them better! The next day we took off for Jamestown, NC and the Jubilee at Midway Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Mustian. That meeting is always a blessing!! After that meeting, we enjoyed a night "off" and stayed at the prophet's chambers at Trinity Baptist in Valdese. The fall leaves were at their peak there in NC and we surely did enjoy their beauty!! On Friday we headed for Harriman, TN where we took part in a Jubilee Saturday at Emory Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Nelson. We were amazed at the large crowd that turned out that Saturday before Thanksgiving!! The next day, we worshipped at Emory Gap Baptist with Pastor Willard Gunter. We met Bro Willard in Linares, Mexico, and so appreciate his sweet spirit!! On Monday we drove to Lawrenceburg, TN for a revival at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Ayers. When we discovered that it was only an hour and thirty minutes from home, we opted to drive back and forth and enjoy a few nights in our OWN BEDS!! On Wednesday, we awoke in our own home and had the day to prepare for Thanksgiving. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner with Rick's family, and then had to get busy decorating for Christmas, since we had to hit the road on Saturday! Somehow, we got most of our decorating done and headed out for Chesnee, SC on Saturday. We enjoyed a Sunday morning service at Casey Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Adkins, and then worshipped with John and Tammy Lancaster at First Baptist, Valley Falls, SC where John pastors. We greatly enjoyed our fellowship there as we stayed with the Lancaster family! The last Monday of the month we headed for Pigeon Forge, TN for the annual Winterfest Camp Meeting at Freedom Baptist Church. Pastor Ed Parton is such a godly pastor and is a blessing to our family! It was a grateful group who pulled into Decatur on the 29th!! Traveling is great, but coming home surely is fun, especially when the house is lit up for Christmas!! As the year is drawing to a close, we can look back and see the hand of God at work in our hearts, as well as many to whom we've ministered. God is so faithful to continue to work in our lives!! Praise His name!
