FFM Online Newsletter - October, 2007
We have watched the hand of God work in a mighty way during the month of October! We began the month in revival at TN Ridge Baptist Church in Erin, TN with Pastor Charles Potter. We had many opportunities to get to know the sweet people there as Nancy spoke to the women every day at a special luncheon at a local restaurant. What a joy it was to share from God's Word and try to encourage the ladies. Also, we had the opportunity to have dinner with a different family each night, and enjoyed that time of fellowship! The church was warm and welcoming and the people were so responsive to the Holy Spirit throughout the week. We truly felt like we were revived, along with many in the church! We then drove to Push, TN for one night of their annual Camp Meeting. There, Rick preached from the Sermon on the Mount, and God moved again in a powerful way! The next day we headed for home, and enjoyed a few short hours with our son, David, before we left again for two weeks in Florida! The first Sunday in October was spent at Calvary Baptist Church in Wesley Chapel with Pastor John Reichard. The church honored him that day for Pastor Appreciation Day. That night we worshipped with the sweet folks at First Baptist Church of Webster, FL with Pastor Hoss Moore. On Wednesday night of that week, we enjoyed worshipping at Gant Lake Baptist Church with Pastor Ed Button. We then enjoyed a few days "off" in Wesley Chapel before we drove to Hilliard, FL. In Hilliard, we celebrated Benjamin's 12th birthday before the Jubilee began at Buford Grove Baptist Church on the 14th. Their homecoming was so special on Sunday, and then the Jubilee began in Monday. God truly blessed through the great preaching of J.C. House, Craig Edwards, Rick Safreit, Scott Moneyham, and Claude Dykes. The messages were just what we needed.
It was a tired but grateful bunch who pulled in to Decatur that Friday!! We had almost 2 weeks to sleep in our own beds before we took off again!! That Sunday morning, we enjoyed the services at 16th Avenue Baptist Church in Decatur, which is the church where Rick grew up. (They all still call him Ricky!) That night, we began a week long Camp Meeting at Son Rise Baptist Church in Hartselle, AL with Pastor Brian Bridges. The final Sunday of the month was spent at Rustic Hills Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC with Pastor Jason Dowdell. What a joy that was!! The final night of the month was actually spent at our home church in Decatur!!
We are so thankful for the blessings of the Lord during this month! He is so faithful, and we can trust in Him!
