FFM Online Newsletter - May, 2009

Our month began at a Homecoming at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Pontotoc, MS. We sang in Sunday School, AM Service and a concert after their Homecoming dinner. Pastor David Barnette is a great man of God and a good friend to our family! After that busy morning, we headed over to Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Galloway for their evening service. We then enjoyed a few days at home before we left for Hillsborough, NC. There, Nancy spoke at the annual Mother/Daughter Banquet at Wayside Baptist Church. It was a wonderful time for moms and daughters alike as Nancy encouraged moms to cherish each moment! The next day we began a Family Revival there with Pastor Brad Williams and his dear family. The Lord truly blessed throughout the week! We enjoyed a quick trip to Wilmington, NC on Thursday to visit with the children's adopted grandparents for a few short hours! On Saturday we moved over a few miles to Durham, NC to begin a Missions Jubilee at Riverside Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Jones. Their church is always such a blessing and encouragement to our family! On Tuesday we began the long 21 hour drive to Denham Springs, LA, stopping at home for a night on the way. The Missions Revival at Mount Olive Baptist Church is one of the greatest that we are privileged to be a part of! They treat their missionaries like kings and queens, and we always leave refreshed and encouraged! After 3 nights of great missions messages by Bro. Joe West, a crazy scavenger hunt on Saturday morning, and an International Dinner and stirring missions movie on Saturday night, their church pledged over $70,000 to missions for the coming year!! To top it all off, two young people were saved during the week!! Praise His name!!!

We were able to enjoy a few days at home before we hit the road again headed for Terre Haute, IN. On the way we stopped for a night of fun with Nancy's parents in Louisville, KY and enjoyed a relaxing picnic together! Our weekend at Good Shepherd Baptist Church was a great one as we fellowshipped with Pastor Tom Manbeck and his dear wife. The Lord always blesses in ways that we could never imagine!

It has been a busy month, with an even busier one ahead of us! We are so thankful for God's leading each step of the way!
