FFM Online Newsletter - September - October, 2009

The months of September and October ran together in our minds since when we left home in the middle of September, we didn't get back home until the end of October!! The Lord truly blessed during those weeks of revivals, though, and He have us the strength to sing/preach almost every night for 6 weeks! We began the month of September at the Homecoming services at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Newland, NC with Pastor Rodney Milsap. What a blessing that sweet church was to our family! We then enjoyed our last few days at home before we hit the road! The next Sunday was spent at the Homecoming services at Sweet Springs Baptist Church in Ardmore, AL with Pastor Joel Logan. That church took the opportunity to honor their pastor and his dear wife on that day with a very touching presentation, including gifts for their children! From there, we headed to the Camp Meeting at Liberty Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN with Pastor James Woods. This sweet church has been a support and blessing to our family for several years! God moved during those services that week! We left IN for Bath Springs, TN where we lead in a Family Revival at Bath Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Wallace. What a precious time He gave us that week. From TN we drove to Ball, LA for a Family Revival at Hosanna Baptist Church with Pastor Bennie Hollingsworth. This is our 4th year to minister at this church, and it is wonderful to go somewhere and feel so at HOME!!  The next week we didn't even have to pack the van as we began a Family Revival just a few miles away at First Baptist Church, Woodworth, LA with Pastor Richard Brooks! The Lord blessed in a mighty way that week. In addition to school with the boys and services every night, we recorded 16 songs for our family Christmas CD that week!! It was a busy time!! We left LA for the long drive to Hilliard, FL. There we enjoyed taking part in the Jubilee services at Buford Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Curt Harrington. It is impossible to express how the Lord blessed in the services there!! We were so blessed by the godly preaching of Dr. J.C. House, Dr. James Lockee, Dr. Rick Safreit, and Bro. Mike Bagwell! We enjoyed a day of celebration for Benjamin's 14th birthday while in Hilliard! We then drove home for a few hours to continue the birthday celebration with our family in Decatur. The next day, we headed to Bruce, MS for Family Day at Rocky Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Troy Montgomery. On Monday we drove to Roanoke, Al to begin a Family Revival at Big Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Whaley. What a sweet group of believers there! They were so friendly and loving toward us and responsive to the Word of God. We left Roanoke for Louisville, KY where we celebrated Nancy's dad's 85th birthday with all the family! We had to leave that night for Terre Haute, IN, arriving at 12:30 am! The weekend was spent helping Good Shepherd Baptist Church canvass and prepare for their Annual Fall Festival. Pastor Tom Manbeck has a heart for evangelism and many contacts were made with many decisions for Christ. God was so faithful all throughout these 6 weeks of revival, giving us the needed physical and spiritual strength! We drove home to enjoy 4 days of wonderful family time, including a baby shower for our precious daughter-in-love, Lina! The last day of the month was spent traveling to Campbell, MO to begin another meeting! We are so thankful for the many opportunities to minister during these two months!! Our hearts have been encouraged as our vision of ministry is being fulfilled.
