FFM Online Newsletter - March, 2009

The month of March began at a Camp Meeting at Victory Baptist Church in Fort Valley, GA with Pastor Chet Cooper. Rick preached Sunday morning and night in the midst of an unusual Georgia blizzard! The rest of the week he preached a series on the family entitled "Through Wisdom is an House Builded". We also enjoyed the preaching of Craig Edwards, Virgil Barnard & Ken Trivett. It was a wonderful week! On Saturday we headed towards Ozark, AL where we worshipped with Grace Baptist Church the following day. Pastor Doug Crosby and his sweet family are such a blessing to us. On Monday we drove to Camp Zion in Myrtle, MS. God always works in an unusual way at Camp Zion! We enjoyed a day at home before we headed for Durham, NC. There we enjoyed Family Day at Riverside Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Jones. We left Durham for Lenoir, NC where we picked up some furniture donated to our son, David and his fiancée, Lina. Our next stop was Candor, NC where we enjoyed two days off at a camp owned by Tabernacle Baptist Church. The boys had a great time with the canoes and paddle boat, and the camp comes complete with a dog that loves children!! On Wednesday night we began a revival at Center Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Moore. The Lord truly blessed those three nights and moved in hearts. Sunday was spent at Tabernacle Baptist with Pastor Mike Free and his sweet church. On Monday we joyfully headed home to deliver the furniture to the happy couple and for two wonderful weeks of wedding planning and preparation! Actually, David and Lina had already done all the planning! We just helped put it all together. On March 27th, Rebekah flew in to the Atlanta airport at midnight. Not wanting her to spend the night at the airport, David, Lina, Leah and Jonathan drove to Atlanta to pick her up and arrived home in Decatur at 6 AM! The next day was a big one as we celebrated 3 boys' birthdays: David's 23rd, Jonathan's 18th, and Joseph's 15th! FUN! Sunday, March 29th was spent at Grace Family Church in Dodge City, AL with a precious group of families who love the Lord. The rest of the week was spent on wedding fun...but that will have to wait for next month's update!

We are so thankful for God's leading and blessing! He allowed our schedule to work out so that we could be home at this special time in our family. He is worthy of our praise!!
